Can You Apply Completely Online?
While Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has digitized many services, first-time TRN applicants cannot complete the entire process online if they are on the island. You can download and fill out the "Application for Taxpayer Registration (Form 1)," but you must present it in person with a valid ID.
Applying from Overseas (Diaspora)
If you live abroad, you can apply by mail!
1. Download Form 1 from the TAJ website.
2. Notarize a copy of your valid ID (Passport or Driver's License).
3. Mail the documents to the TAJ head office in Kingston, or authorize someone locally to submit it on your behalf via a stamped letter.
