Preparing for Summer Dry Spells
The distribution is focused on the southern belt of the parish—an area that always gets hit hard by water shortages when summer rolls around. These new hybrid seeds cover sweet pepper, tomato, and corn, and they’re engineered to need 30% less water than regular varieties.
RADA extension officers will be dropping by the participating farms every week to check on crop yields and offer hands-on technical support.
