How to Buy Coconut Drops from Jamaica to the USA

You haven't really experienced traditional Jamaican sweets until you've chipped your tooth on a proper Coconut Drop.

Made by boiling diced coconut, brown sugar, and heavy ginger until it hardens into a rustic, sticky cluster on a piece of banana leaf, it is the definition of a \"yaad\" snack. It brings people straight back to their childhood.

###Finding Coconut Drops in the USA

Because they are handmade and don't come in fancy commercial packaging, finding authentic coconut drops abroad can be tricky. You won't find them on Amazon.

Your best bet is specialty Jamaican online grocers like JamrockMart or The Yaad Market, which often source them directly from local bakeries and wrap them securely for shipping. They have a naturally long shelf life thanks to the crystallized sugar, so they survive the trip perfectly!

###Keep the Pantry Stocked Back Home

It costs a premium to buy Jamaican snacks abroad. But if you want to treat your family back in Jamaica to a full pantry, you can order groceries at local prices and have them delivered directly to their door using howjamaica.com/shop. Share the sweetness with the people who matter most.",
