Court Greenlights Major Corporate Restructuring for RJRGLEANER Communications Group

In a massive move aimed at boosting operational efficiency, the Supreme Court has officially approved a sweeping corporate restructuring plan for the RJRGLEANER Communications Group.

The consolidation will see several of its key subsidiaries, including Multimedia Jamaica Limited, Gleaner Online Limited, and Jamaica News Network Limited, officially merged into Radio Jamaica Limited (RJL). Industry analysts suggest this strategic pivot is necessary to survive in a rapidly evolving digital media landscape, where traditional revenue streams have been under constant pressure.

"This is about creating a leaner, more agile media powerhouse," one financial analyst noted. "By removing duplicate administrative processes and unifying their digital strategy under one core entity, they are better positioned to compete with global platforms."
