The bypass will provide a critical alternative route for motorists traveling across the northern coast, allowing heavy commercial traffic to completely bypass the downtown Montego Bay area.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, government officials emphasized that the project will also create hundreds of jobs for local contractors and laborers. "This is not just about moving cars faster; it is about unlocking the true economic potential of St. James," the Prime Minister stated.
