Exchange of Medical Professionals
So, what’s this deal all about? It’s a straight-up swap of medical know-how. Ghana is going to send specialist nurses to work in our public hospitals, which is exactly what we need right now. In return, Jamaica will offer training programs to Ghanaian medical students—focusing on tropical disease management and public health administration. It’s a give-and-take that makes a whole lot of sense.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness says this agreement is a big step toward filling those critical staffing gaps, especially in our rural health clinics.
